Tagum City Recognizes 32 Muslim Solemnizing Officers With Authority to Perform Marriages
As part of the 36th Civil Registration Month with the theme, “Navigating the Future, Together: Advancing CRVS in Shaping the Global and Regional Data Ecosystem”, the Office of the City Civil Registrar recognized the 32 Muslim Solemnizing Officers during the Flag Raising Ceremony on February 9, 2026 at Tagum City Hall Atrium.
PSA Chief Statistical Specialist, Jessie A. Madulin, presented the Imams and Ustadz from the different Jama’ahs in Tagum City who now have the necessary Certificate of Registration of Authority to Solemnize Marriage (CRASM) and can validly perform Muslim marriages not only in Tagum City but anywhere in Region Xl.
The simultaneous issuance of the CRASM was made possible through the initiative of the Office of the City Civil Registrar and the Office of the Muslim Affairs, in collaboration with the National Commission for Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) Region XI and the PSA Davao del Norte Statistical Office. These offices conducted a One-Stop New/Renewal of CRASM exclusively for these Imams and Uztads on November 5, 2025 at AVR 5, Tagum City Hall.
