CCRO Tagum Brings Civil Registration Services to Muslim Coastal Community
To highlight the celebration of the 35th Civil Registration Month with the theme "Building a Resilient, Agile, and Future Fit Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) System", LCRO Tagum, in collaboration with Tagum City Muslim Affairs Office, conducted a Mobile Civil Registration (Birth Registration Assistance Program) at Jama’ah Tugan Centro, Madaum, a Muslim coastal area community in Tagum City.
This activity was part of LCRO Tagum’s commitment and priority to provide Birth Certificate to Muslim Tagumenyos through BRAP and to deliver their various civil registry needs conveniently and directly in their community.
During the event, the LCRO Tagum facilitated 74 civil registry transactions, which included also:
1. Request for PSA Copy of Birth, Marriage, and Death Certificates;
2. Correction of Clerical Error and Change of First Name (RA 9048);
3. Legitimation (RA 9858);
4. Affidavit to Use the Surname of the Father (RA 9255); and
5. Free Legal Consultation.
On the same event, LCRO Tagum awarded to 19 BRAP beneficiaries, who were mostly Muslim Senior Citizens, their registered Birth Certificates which the Office received and processed on October 2024.
